Short biography
Bruno Therrien is an Associate Professor within the Institute of Chemistry and runs the single-crystal X-ray structure facility, which is part of the Neuchatel Platform of Analytical Chemistry. Prof. Bruno Therrien has in the last ten years developed an independent career, and pioneered the biological side of arene ruthenium metalla-assemblies. These new hybrid materials have found applications as anticancer agents and as drug delivery vectors.
Research interests
His main research interests are the biological application of water soluble metalla-assemblies and the use of hybrid ruthenium-porphyrin compounds in photodynamic therapy treatments.
